Abstract

Organizational resilience refers to the ability of an organization to respond effectively to shocks and disruptions, while continuing to operate and grow. Today , resilience became increasingly important to organization , especially with unprecedented challenges such as pandemics and natural disasters. The crisis is multi-faceted ,  today's crisis is not tomorrows. Therefore, resilience has a major contribution to the management of organizations, allowing companies to reduce the disruption and damage of a crisis, by establishing contingency plans and processes.  It is imperative today in the sense that it contributes to adapting organizations to a tumultuous environment. This concept has become a controversial topic today but remains complex to define and comprehend. The objective of this article is to make a theoretical contribution on this subject and to highlight this concept through three meanings: resilience as a process - capacity and state.
