The objective of this study is to analyze the impact of the duality of trust and management control of managerial performance in the public sector, in the case of the Beni Mellal-Khénifra region. More precisely, it is a question of providing a theoretical framework of the management controller-manager relationship, by highlighting the contingency factors likely to influence the managerial relationship. To note the scope of the subject, an explanatory model analyzing the mediating role of trust is proposed. This model is then empirically tested with management controllers. The different results will be presented, analyzed and interpreted. Thus, the ambition of this study is to enrich previous works and provide management control practitioners with an empirical and conceptual explanation. Our study shows that a relationship of trust that develops between the management controller and the manager will increase the productivity of the latter and will also serve as a means of informal control, which reinforces the cooperation and collaboration necessary for the success of the organization.
