The impact of funding sources on the performance of agricultural cooperatives in Morocco: Proposal for a conceptual model

Abstract

The informal sector of the economy continues to predominate in Morocco. As a solution to this problem, a number of initiatives have been developed in the hope of locating alternatives that can modernize this informal economy on the one hand, and on the other hand, facilitate the integration of young graduates into the labor market, to find new ways of training, and to access employment and economic activity. One of these initiatives is the Social and Solidarity Economy, which is carried out by these organizations. These initiatives have been developed in the hope of locating alternatives that can modernize this informal economy. This essay functions within this framework by providing a contribution, particularly with regard to the topic of agricultural cooperatives in Morocco. Specifically, this article focuses on the cooperatives in Morocco. The purpose of this article is to present a literature review with the goals of, on the one hand, determining the sources of financing used by agricultural cooperatives, analyzing and classifying them, and, on the other hand, developing the influence of the financial structure of these cooperatives on their overall performance. The review of the literature will be presented in order to fulfill these goals. A conceptual model will be presented as a synthesis of the results obtained, as well as a descriptive analysis of the research field carried out based on a sample of agricultural cooperatives that were questioned via a questionnaire. Both of these things will be done in conjunction with a discussion of the implications of the findings.
