Abstract

The Islamic financial industry has witnessed the end of the second millennium and the beginning of the third millennium an unprecedented renaissance, which is manifested by its diffusion in many countries, the expansion of its importance, the increase in the size of its assets and the diversity of its applications. Attention today is no longer focused on the attention of global financial system officials or state-level legislators on the existence of a financial system that is grounded in Sharia principles. This article is considered as a synthetic study presents some works already carried out on this subject in order to explore the reality of the Islamic financial industry in the Arab Maghreb countries and to identify the most important legislation and laws that have been enacted to strengthen and support this industry. It also seeks to analyze the most important challenges facing these countries and the means to address them.
