Abstract

Organizational Process Management (OPM) is a powerful management method for optimizing the performance of organizations. It is a management approach based on the identification, structuring, analysis, continuous improvement and digitalization of internal processes. This literature review explores the fundamental concepts and tools of OPM, and analyses the associated management methods and models in terms of their contributions, limitations, complementarities and integration into a coherent, unified framework. It also summarizes the graphic theories and tools of OPM and compares it with other forms of management, in order to identify its specific features. Finally, the article discusses the connection between OPM and recent currents, such as the theory of organizational routines and institutionalist perspectives on change. It thus highlights its evolution and its potential for adaptation in a changing context.
