Artificial Intelligence and FinTechs: Challenges and Opportunities for the Financial Sector in Morocco

Abstract

This paper explores the integration of artificial intelligence in FinTech and its impact on the Moroccan financial sector. Specifically, it highlights how artificial intelligence innovations are improving financial services in areas such as risk management, fraud detection, customer experience and operational efficiency, while addressing challenges related to regulation, data privacy and cybersecurity.

To analyze these dynamics, this study adopts a narrative literature review approach, synthesizing existing research on AI applications in FinTech, with a particular focus on Morocco. The results provide a theoretical overview of the transformative potential of AI, highlighting its role in promoting financial inclusion and optimizing decision-making. However, the study also highlights the main obstacles that could hinder the implementation of artificial intelligence solutions in Fintech in the Moroccan context.
