Resilience and Organizational Resilience: Theoretical Approach
Abstract
This article presents a theoretical study on resilience and organizational resilience, examining the various approaches that have emerged over the decades.
The main objective of this study is to analyze the fundamental concepts of resilience and organizational resilience while highlighting the key factors that influence organizations' ability to overcome crises and external disruptions.
This research is based on an analysis of existing literature, drawing on relevant academic sources to identify the main definitions, approaches, and models of organizational resilience. The study adopts a comparative approach by contrasting perspectives from management sciences, strategic management, and organizational psychology.
The findings highlight that organizational resilience is based on several key determinants, including governance, innovation, organizational learning, and corporate culture. Furthermore, the most resilient companies are those that develop proactive adaptation strategies and integrate flexible mechanisms to cope with crises. The study also emphasizes the growing influence of digitalization in enhancing organizations' resilience capabilities.
This research is primarily based on a theoretical review and does not include empirical analysis, which limits the generalizability of the conclusions. However, it paves the way for future studies aimed at empirically testing organizational resilience models across different sectoral and geographical contexts.
The originality of this research lies in its ability to synthesize a wide range of theoretical perspectives and propose a holistic approach to organizational resilience. The practical implications of this study are particularly relevant for decision-makers, providing them with tools and strategies to strengthen the resilience of their organizations in the face of contemporary challenges.
