Abstract

The aims of this study are an understanding of the effect of informal institutions on Female Labor Force Participation in Morocco. In others words, the study focuses on how informal institutions as a range of informal constraints (cultural values, social norms, customs, etc.) influence the Moroccans’ perceptions of Female Labor participation. After examining the existing literature review, we demonstrated by mobilizing a narrative approach that, despite the formal provisions putted in place to improve the presence of Moroccan women in the public sphere, particularly in the labor market, informal institutions are still predominant and influence perceptions regarding women's work.
