Organizational development tools in Cameroonian civil society organizations

We propose to reflect on the organizational development tools practiced by some organization’s Cameroonian civil society. Organizational development requires a deliberate and controlled introduction of change. We must form groups whose members must reach a larger capacity of apprehension, increased capacity, much stimulation and insight about their own goals. We can also assist organizations to conduct studies and reflections on their lives so as to analyze the managerial modes, organizational climate, member satisfaction ... for the sake of improvement. How can organizations strengthen their capacities and how managers can facilitate and promote organizational development process within them? Organizational development tools are a response to this problem. The autonomous design and ownership changes are another important feature of successful and sustainable experiences. She questions the universal and prescriptive approaches, too often present in managerial approaches of organizational development, which tend to highlight unique solutions for all environments. Consultants can play a varied role or be vendor turnkey project and to be the main carrier of the reorganization, or be a support, a counselor who can unlock the situation. It plays an important role in defining the problems and select solutions. These experienced tools by organizations Cameroonian civil society helped to better understand the prerequisites for implementation of these and the implementation of strategies of organizational development processes in organizations of the Cameroonian civil society. We retain its tools can be developed thanks to the willingness of members and especially the leader. Some tools have a cumbersome process and some are complex for smaller organizations. These tools can be simplified to allow their implementation in the less structured organizations and not having the management and operational decision-making bodies. Our approach is an appreciation and analysis tools used and simultaneously a funding approach that can retain the lessons learned and duplication prospects on a large scale. We will present the IDOS (Institutional Development and Organizational Strengthening), AUAB (Auto- Accompanied Building), the OD (organizational development VSO). A theoretical development is presented on organizational development and organizational change.
