E-learning in Higher Education: A Review of the Literature
Abstract
This article presents a literature review on the influence of e-learning on the performance of higher education. The study examines the existing research to identify the effects of e-learning on student outcomes and academic achievement. Our conclusions indicate several benefits of e-learning, such as increased flexibility, accessibility, and personalized learning experiences. However, the study also identifies limitations in the research, including the digital divide, potential lack of motivation and engagement, and limited social interaction. Additionally, the review highlights the need for further investigation into the cultural and contextual differences in e-learning effectiveness. Overall, this article provides insights into the current state of knowledge regarding the influence of e-learning in higher education and suggests avenues for future research.
