Abstract

The advent of the fourth generation of industrialization has empowered companies to embrace new technologies that streamline data analysis. Among these tools, big data technology has played a pivotal role in assisting organizations in effectively managing vast amounts of data. This study aims to investigate the impact of big data technology on company performance. A sample of 150 Moroccan companies was divided into three groups: a control group that does not utilize any big data-based technology in their recruitment process, a group that partially relies on this technology, and a group that extensively relies on it. The findings reveal significant distinctions among the groups, showcasing qualitative advantages such as minimizing error risks and quantitative benefits such as reducing recruitment costs and time investment in the group relying on big data technology. Nevertheless, it is important to acknowledge certain limitations of our study. Firstly, the absence of quantifiable data from participating companies restricts our ability to fully validate the accuracy of their self-reported claims in the questionnaire. Secondly, the ongoing ambiguity surrounding the role of human recruiters within these structures warrants further investigation and clarification.
