Abstract

The mobilization of human capital is a key element for promoting social innovation. This involves bringing together the specific skills, knowledge, and expertise needed to address emerging social needs. The objective of the article is to highlight the importance of mobilizing human capital to address unmet social needs. Indeed, mobilizing human capital is a key element for promoting social innovation, as it allows bringing together individuals with specific skills and knowledge needed to address complex social problems. Using a theoretical and narrative approach, the article highlights different key success factors across different continents of the world. These factors include training and skills development, collaboration among different stakeholders, innovation in public policies and financing, and the use of information and communication technologies to enhance the effectiveness of social solutions. The literature mobilized by our article highlights the importance of developing human capital to address emerging social needs and promote social innovation. By bringing together individuals with specific skills, knowledge, and expertise, it is possible to create a highly skilled workforce capable of addressing the most pressing social needs. Using a theoretical and narrative approach, this article provides a framework for understanding the crucial role of human capital in promoting social innovation, by highlighting key success factors and best practices across the world.
